Community Building Networks
Digital and Web based tools have become a daily part of many of our lives. They allow for the dissemination of information at an unparalleled speed, and, when they are used wisely, can be a phenomenal instrument of change. Below is a growing list of directories, networks, and information portals where CEI and BEN are listed. We hope that you find them as useful as we do in keeping connected.

SourceWatch The Center for Media and Democracy (CMD) publishes SourceWatch, this collaborative, specialized encyclopedia of the people, organizations, and issues shaping the public agenda. SourceWatch profiles the activities of public relations firms, public relations professionals, think tanks, industry-funded organizations, and industry-friendly experts that work to influence public opinion and public policy on behalf of corporations, governments, and special interests. We also highlight key public policies they are trying to influence and provide links to help you take action. But, we need your help. Please check out new information below, including updates from our new Real Economy Project, which addresses the financial crisis and the big issues in the U.S. economy. If you want to join in, the basics on how to help write history as well as links to hot issues are on your left.
Welcome to the SourceWatch community!

WiserEarth
There are more than one million organizations and many millions of us around the world who are actively working toward ecological sustainability, economic justice, human rights protection, political accountability and peace -- issues that are systemically interconnected and intertwined. Our effectiveness to prevent harm and institute positive change is undermined by our lack of collective awareness, duplication of efforts, and poor connectivity.
What has been missing is a map and directory of our network that includes the resources for communication and cooperation; in essence, an infrastructure through which to coordinate our efforts. WiserEarth provides this infrastructure. It provides a way for us to become better connected and more effective at working together.
